It’s not about where you’ve been. It’s about where you’re going. And who you’re going with. We adopted a tag line when our church first started: “Joy Moving Forward.” This means that no matter what condition your life is in right now, you have a next step to take: Toward Jesus. He is the Way forward. And we’re here to help you make that step!

Our name Future City comes right out of the Bible. Every person longs to be a part of something that lasts. As a result of the fall, our world is corrupted with sin and decay. Relationships dissolve, dreams die and all that we build and gain on earth will eventually be taken from us. This is sad! Thankfully, it’s not the whole story.

Hebrews 11 says that God is building a city that will last, a city with foundations that will never fall. This is the new heavens and the new earth. And Revelation 21 says that God will come down from heaven with this newly built city in which lots of happy, redeemed people will live. The crucified and risen King Jesus will shine in place of the sun.

While that may seem like a long way off, this provides good reason to have hope right now. Our church exists to help you begin and cultivate a new life with Jesus. So take the joy journey with us. Joy Moving Forward!
